Tan Son Nhat airport lounges: which one to pick in Ho Chi Minh City
Travellers departing from Ho Chi Minh City find lounges spread across three terminals, with very different offerings: some are built for business travellers, others open to anyone who pays for entry. The right choice depends on the departure terminal, the card you hold and what you are after, whether it's a hot meal, a shower or a quiet spot before the flight.
In the domestic terminal, used for Vietnam's internal routes, the main lounge is the Le Saigonnais Business Lounge, run by SASCO with decor that recalls old Saigon's architecture and a buffet of local dishes such as pho and banh mi. Nearby is the Prime Lounge, opened for the company's thirtieth anniversary, which the most recent sources indicate is currently temporarily closed.

The international terminal has the widest selection. The Rose Business Lounge, recently reopened in partnership with Airport Dimensions, stands out for its floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the apron and for an international award as best lounge in Asia. Aimed at a specific group of travellers, the Jasmine Halal Lounge is the first lounge for Muslim passengers in Vietnam, with halal-certified cuisine, dedicated prayer rooms and no alcohol: a natural choice for those who follow strict religious observance. The nearby Apricot Business Lounge, also run by SASCO, is instead aimed mainly at travellers with airline alliance status, while still being open to other passengers for a fee. Unlike the Rose, the Apricot does not accept Priority Pass: a detail worth remembering for anyone relying on that card to get in.
Terminal T3, the airport's newest, brings together several lounges built for different situations. The SH Premium Lounge and The SENS Business Lounge both offer a shower and a hot buffet, but the latter stands out for a design that recalls Vietnamese craft villages, with shapes reminiscent of embroidery looms and silk-toned lighting. For those arriving without a card that guarantees free access, the SH Elite Lounge remains a paid-entry-only option, while Vietnam Airlines' Lotus Premier Lounge, reserved for its highest-tier Lotusmiles members, is among the few lounges in the terminal to stay open around the clock, useful for anyone with an overnight layover or a flight departing in the very early hours.
In short, the choice at Tan Son Nhat depends mainly on the departure terminal and the programme you belong to: those leaving from the domestic terminal have a single solid option, international travellers can choose between the general offering and the dedicated halal lounge, while in T3 it is worth looking at specific services, such as a shower or round-the-clock opening, rather than at the lounge's name. Anyone who belongs to no access programme will still find, in every terminal, at least one option with direct payment.
