Hotels near Zvartnots International Airport

Zvartnots has no rail link with Yerevan: the 201 express bus reaches the centre in 40 minutes, with departures every 30 minutes until 22:00 (every hour at night), while a taxi covers the roughly 12 km in 20-30 minutes. Those with time to visit the capital almost always find the centre more convenient, near Republic Square and its museums; those catching a dawn flight or making a one-night stopover can stay close to the terminal, in the village of Parakar, about 2 km from the runways.

Zvartnots and Parakar

Both properties are in the village of Parakar, about 2 km from the terminal: the transfer is organised directly by the management, even for flights at 6 in the morning. By taxi it still only takes a few minutes; the 201 express bus to the centre passes further away, on the opposite side of the airport grounds.

Best for: One-night stopovers and departures before 7, when every minute of transfer counts.

Pros
  • About 2 km from the terminal, convenient for morning flights without facing traffic towards the city
  • The hotels organise the airport transfer, useful also for those departing or arriving in the middle of the night
Cons
  • Parakar is an isolated village: for dinner or an evening out you still need to go back to Yerevan
  • Without a car you depend on the hotel's transfer or a taxi, because the 201 bus does not stop here

City centre

Centre and Yerevan, Republic Square

The 201 express bus connects Republic Square and the Yeritasardakan metro to Zvartnots in 40 minutes (300 AMD, every 30 minutes from 7 to 22); a taxi from the centre covers the roughly 12 km in 20-30 minutes.

Best for: Those with more than a day in Yerevan who want Republic Square, the museums and restaurants close at hand.

Pros
  • Republic Square is one of the stops of the 201 bus to the airport, with departures every 30 minutes until 22
  • Museums, the Cascade complex and the restaurants of the centre are just steps away on foot
Cons
  • From the centre to the airport it still takes 20-40 minutes, worth calculating carefully for early morning flights
  • Since there are no trains, at night (after 22) the bus runs only once an hour: better to check the timetable or book a taxi
