Frankfurt-Hahn Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

Frankfurt-Hahn is a secondary, isolated airport in the Hunsrück, about 120 km from the real Frankfurt: all around there are only small villages, no city. Anyone with a dawn flight or arriving late at night has no good alternative but to stay right next to the terminal; those continuing on to Frankfurt, Mainz or Wiesbaden can take the Flibco buses, which also stop at Simmern, about 20 minutes' drive away. There are no real distinct areas to compare here: the only sensible choice for anyone flying from here is a hotel a step from the terminal entrance.
