Halmstad Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

Halmstad Airport is just 4 km from the city centre: Hallandstrafiken's bus 40 gets there in 5-10 minutes, a taxi in about the same time for 95-120 SEK. With such a short distance, the centre, overlooking the Nissan river, is almost always worthwhile even for the earliest morning flights. Those coming for the beach rather than the city can instead head straight for Tylösand, Sweden's most famous beach, about ten minutes by car from both the airport and the centre.
