Jinning – the historic western side
Neighbourhood · Farther from the airport than Jincheng or Jinhu; a taxi or rental car is always the better option, since direct links to the airport are limited.

- The Qing dynasty Military Headquarters and the Wu Dao Cheng Huang temple about 15 minutes' walk away
- One of the island's most authentic rural areas, far from the main town's tourist flows
- Few restaurants independent of the accommodation, especially in the evening
- Direct links to the airport are more limited than in Jincheng or Jinhu
Recommended hotels in this area
- Chang Hong Hotel: On Cihu Road, with a free airport shuttle and traditional Taiwanese breakfast included; about 15 minutes' walk from the Qing dynasty Military Headquarters.
