Kittila Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

Kittilä Airport was built to serve Levi, the main ski resort of Finnish Lapland, which lies about 15 km and 20-25 minutes by shuttle from the terminal. The village of Kittilä, right next to the airport's runway, has very few beds of its own and almost all passengers head straight on to Levi: for this reason the choice of accommodation is played out almost entirely within Levi itself, where it's worth staying close to the lifts if you're there to ski.

Nearby town · Ski Bus/Airport Bus shuttle from the airport in 20-25 minutes (about €10-15, running from 8 to 23); by taxi 20-30 minutes for about 15 km.

Best for: Anyone coming to ski who wants the slopes just steps away, with bars, ski rental and a supermarket within walking distance of Levi's centre.
