Maharana Pratap Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

Maharana Pratap Airport, formerly Dabok, is almost as far from the city as a genuine regional airstrip: about 22-28 km and 45 minutes by car, whether you choose a hotel on Lake Pichola or one near Lake Fateh Sagar, since both areas sit within the same urban core. The difference between the two is therefore not the transfer time, but what you have within walking distance once you arrive: the palaces on the Pichola and the City Palace on one side, a quieter lake and the city centre on the other. Only those departing at dawn or arriving late at night find any sense in one of the few addresses literally next to the terminal.
