Mosjøen Airport, Kjærstad: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Kjærstad airport is about 6-7 km from Mosjøen, 10-15 minutes by car or taxi with no direct buses into the centre. Almost all of the town can be visited on foot starting from Sjøgata, the street of eighteenth-century wooden houses on the Vefsna river, and the hotels available are few, all clustered there or along the E6 just outside the historic core. There are no alternatives near the runway: the choice is simply between the historic charm of the centre and the convenience of a hotel on the main road.
Mosjøen and Sjøgata

Recommended hotels in this area

- Mosjøen Hotel: A small hotel on the E6, 1.2 km from the centre and right in front of the station and bus terminal; hearty breakfast and an evening buffet with hot dishes included.
