Savonlinna Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

Savonlinna airport is about 15 km north of the centre, along the Enonkoskentie: with few flights a day from Helsinki there are no hotels near the terminal, but unlike other regional Finnish airports a free shuttle meets every arriving flight and runs to the Kauppatori in about 20 minutes. The city's hotels are all clustered in the centre, between the market square and Linnankatu, a few steps from Olavinlinna castle and Lake Saimaa.
