Shymkent International Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended…

Shymkent Airport is about 11 km from the city centre, with a 15-20 minute taxi transfer or around half an hour on bus line 12. The best hotels are concentrated in the centre, between Abay Park and Dendropark, along the stretch of the Silk Road that runs through Kazakhstan's third city: a single zone therefore covers almost all of the reliable offering, with no real alternative hub near the terminal.
