Yaoqiang Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Yaoqiang airport is about 33 km from the centre of Jinan, a trip that takes 50-60 minutes by car; since 2024 metro line 3 reaches all the way to Jichang Nan station, just a two-minute walk from terminal T1, and runs south towards the city centre. For anyone with an early flight or a short stopover, staying in the airport area or the nearby High-Tech Zone avoids the longer transfer; those with time to see Jinan can instead aim for the historic centre around Quancheng Square and Daming Lake, or the new business district next to the Olympic Centre, served by the same line 3.
