Downtown Moroni and the seafront
No bus connects the airport to the city: the taxi is the only option, about 30 minutes and an indicative fare of 500 Comorian francs, to be agreed before the ride.
Best for: Travelers staying more than one night who want to be in the city, near mosques, the market and the seafront, while still accepting the roughly 30-minute taxi ride from the airport.
- The city's few branded properties are all located downtown or along the seafront, just minutes from one another
- The market, the Friday Mosque and restaurants are within walking distance of almost all the hotels listed
- Beyond the few well-known properties, the offer quickly drops to private apartments with no verifiable reviews
- The review samples available online are small (often just a few dozen), so the scores should be taken with caution
