Argyle International Airport is located approximately 12 km from Kingstown, capital of Saint Vincent, along the scenic Windward Highway on the eastern coast of the island.
Opened in February 2017 after years of work that required leveling three hills, it was the first airport in the country capable of handling long-range flights from North America and Europe, replacing the previous E. T. Joshua Airport, which was too small for this type of traffic.

Ratho Mill and Prospect
About 15 minutes by car from the terminal for both properties; central Kingstown, on the other hand, is 20 minutes away on the opposite side of the island.

- Blue Lagoon bay, with its marina for sailing boats heading to the Grenadines, is right in this area
- Few restaurants or shops outside the hotels themselves: evenings are almost always spent on site
- Kingstown and its market remain 20 minutes away, on the opposite side of the island

Frequently asked questions
Q. Why is Saint Vincent's airport called Argyle and not E.T. Joshua?
Argyle International Airport opened in February 2017 as the country's first airport able to accommodate long-haul flights, simultaneously replacing the old E.T. Joshua Airport, decommissioned that same day because it was too small for this kind of traffic.
Q. Should tourists watch out for overcharging in Saint Vincent?
Yes, it happens mostly with informal water taxis to the smaller Grenadine islands and with some unofficial guides: always agree on the price in advance and, if possible, check with your accommodation before accepting.
Q. Is it easy to reach the Grenadines from Saint Vincent?
Yes, Argyle airport offers inter-island flights to Bequia, Mustique, Canouan and the other Grenadine islands, in addition to ferry connections from Kingstown.
Q. Do you need a visa for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines?
No, most nationalities (including the US, EU, UK) can enter visa-free for tourist stays, with a valid passport.
