Dalaman International Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended…

Dalaman is the reference airport for two tourist areas that are quite distinct and fairly far apart: Fethiye, about 50 km and 45 minutes to the southeast, and Marmaris, about 90 km and 75-90 minutes to the west. Both are worth a holiday in their own right, but their hotels don't appear among the verified data for this guide, so here the focus is on what is genuinely close to the airport: the town of Dalaman itself, 5-6 minutes by car, and the Sarıgerme resort strip, 8-20 km further south, the only real beach within a short transfer.
