Philadelphia: how to navigate American's lounges and the rest

At Philadelphia, American Airlines dominates with four different lounges, from the refined Flagship Lounge in Terminal A-West to the more peripheral one in Terminal F, dedicated to American Eagle regional flights. Those not flying American still find Delta, United, Chase and one of the few British Airways lounges that opens for just one flight a day.
Terminal A-West is the heart of American Airlines' offer: the American Flagship Lounge is reserved for those flying international first class or holding the AAdvantage program's highest status, with table service and private workstations overlooking the runway. Those without these requirements can still get in by paying a single entry fee, an exception the Flagship Lounge doesn't offer at every airport. Right next to it, with the same entrance, is the Admirals Club, which replaced the old Terminal A-East lounge, bringing renovated spaces under the carrier's latest concept, for passengers with lesser status or a simple day pass. The same area also has American Express's The Centurion Lounge and the British Airways Galleries Club, the latter open only around the evening flight to London, a rare case among lounges at a major American airport.

Moving toward the other concourses, American Airlines has two more Admirals Clubs: one at the connector between Concourses B and C, more central than Terminal A-West, and one in Terminal F, the airport's most peripheral, dedicated to American Eagle regional flights. Between Concourses A and B are instead the Minute Suites, open every hour of the day and night: not a traditional lounge but private rooms with a sofa bed, which can be booked even for a full overnight stay, useful for those with a very early departure the next day. At the connector between Concourses C and D is the United Club, which follows the same standard as the network's other lounges. Further along, between Concourses D and E, the recently renovated Delta Sky Club shares the same area with the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club: the latter remains unlimited for Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders, while generic Priority Pass members are entitled to just one free visit a year.
At Philadelphia, the choice depends above all on where your gate is, since American Airlines has lounges scattered across nearly every concourse. Those departing from Terminal A-West have the richest offer, including Flagship and the Centurion Lounge; those flying from a different concourse still find an Admirals Club nearby, or the Delta, United or Chase lounges further east. Only those flying American Eagle from Terminal F remain a bit more isolated from the other options. It's still worth checking the guest rules before showing up, since they vary a lot from one lounge to another at this airport.
