Haugesund Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Haugesund Airport is on the island of Karmøy, about 14 km from the city centre and linked by a bridge; since October 2024 the Flybussen that used to run into the centre has been cancelled, so today a rental car or a taxi booked in advance (15-20 minutes) is the way to go. Central Haugesund, with its pedestrian waterfront, remains the most practical choice for those with free time; those who want to stay a few minutes from the terminal can instead opt for one of the apartments near the airport, on the same island of Karmøy.

Pros
- Garden and free private parking, handy for those travelling by car
- A few minutes from the terminal, handy for the day's earliest flights
Cons
- Without the Flybussen, those without their own car need to arrange a taxi in advance
