The Ambrosio Taravella airport is about 10 km north of downtown Córdoba, with no rail link at all: by taxi downtown is reached in 20 minutes, with the 25/Aerobus bus line in 30-45. For anyone visiting Argentina's second city with a few days to spare, the historic centre around the Cañada remains the most practical choice, with the Cathedral, the Cabildo and the evening bars within walking distance. Those instead arriving late or leaving at dawn can stay near the airport, a few minutes from Taravella: the only real alternative in that area, however, is a hotel facing a shopping mall, with no neighbourhood life of its own.

The Holiday Inn Cordoba by IHG is 4.6 km from Taravella airport, about 10 minutes by car; the historic centre, by contrast, is 6-7 km away, a 15-20 minute taxi ride.

Best for: Those arriving late, leaving at dawn, or making a short stopover without needing downtown.
