Karlstad Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Karlstad Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Karlstad Airport is about 15-16 km from the centre: the Flygbuss, with schedules tied to flights, takes 15-20 minutes, a taxi 15-20 minutes for 250-350 SEK. Karlstad is almost entirely walkable, squeezed as it is between Lake Vänern and the Klarälven river, so it's almost always worth sleeping in the centre, even for the earliest morning flights, as long as you book the Flygbuss or a taxi in advance.
