Kunsan Air Base: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

The airport shares its runway with the American Kunsan military air base and is reserved for a handful of civilian flights a day, all to Jeju: there is no fast, direct link to the city, and the taxi remains the most practical choice, both for the Saemangeum industrial zone, a few minutes away, and for the historic centre, about 10 km away. A city bus serves the airport, but it's a loop route with over 140 stops and no published timetable, of little use to anyone with a flight to catch.
