Modlin Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

Warsaw-Modlin airport is located in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, about 35 km north of the capital: it is a separate airport from Chopin, used mainly by low-cost carriers, and the distance from the city centre is considerably greater. The main link is the ModlinBus, running round the clock with timetables coordinated to flights, which reaches Plac Defilad in front of the Palace of Culture and Science in about 45 minutes (from 9 zloty online, 33 on board, almost 50 trips a day in both directions). Around the airport itself, in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, the offer is limited to small family-run guesthouses, impractical for those who want to dine out or get around without their own car: for most travellers the most sensible choice remains a hotel in central Warsaw, accepting the 45-minute bus ride.
