Nîmes-Arles-Camargue Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

Nîmes-Garons Airport is about 14 km from the city centre: the Tango shuttle and bus line E52 reach the station in 25-30 minutes, an alternative to a taxi for those in no hurry. Nîmes is small and compact, with the Arena a few minutes' walk from the station: there is no real airport-side area to stay, the choice is between the station, the old town and the greener Orangerie area. Those with a dawn flight or a late-night arrival find it handy to stay near the station; those with an extra day to see the Arena and the Maison Carrée can head into the centre.
