North Eleuthera Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Harbour Island (Dunmore Town)
Nearby town · About a 5-minute taxi ride from the airport to the dock, then a shared water taxi of 5-10 minutes to Harbour Island (departures roughly every 10 minutes, running from 6:00 to 21:00): 15-30 minutes door to door in total.
Best for: Those who want Pink Sands Beach and the colonial-village atmosphere of Dunmore Town, and are willing to take a boat transfer from the airport.
- Pink Sands Beach and the centre of Dunmore Town can be explored on foot or by golf cart, no car needed
- Frequent water taxis during the day, no need to book far in advance
- After 21:00 the regular water taxis stop running: an evening flight requires a private transfer at a higher rate
- The time and cost of the boat transfer are added on top of every trip to and from the airport

- No boat transfer: you get there by car or taxi directly from the airport
- Surfers Beach and the cliffs of the Atlantic coast are just minutes from the village
- The village is small, with few restaurants: in the evening the options thin out quickly
- Without a rental car, getting to the other beaches in the area is inconvenient
