Tampere-Pirkkala Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

The airport is about 17 km from the centre of Tampere, in the municipality of Pirkkala, with no rail link: Nysse bus 103 leaves for every arriving flight and takes 30-40 minutes to the centre, stopping at both the railway station and the bus station. There is no real hotel hub near the terminals, so the choice almost always concentrates on the centre, around the station and Hämeenkatu street.
