Guarulhos lounges: which one to choose in the three terminals
At Guarulhos the right lounge depends first of all on the terminal and the area you depart from, because every zone has a different offer and its own access rules. If you travel with Priority Pass you can relax: in every terminal you will find at least one lounge that welcomes you, and it is one that stays open overnight.
If you depart from Terminal 1 there is nothing to compare: the only lounge is the W Lounge, on the mezzanine, open day and night and accessible with Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass or by paying at the door. The real choice begins at Terminal 2.
The only lounge in Terminal 1, so the only option for passengers departing from this terminal.

In the domestic area of Terminal 2 the independent offer is wide. With Priority Pass or LoungeKey you can enter W Premium The West, in the west boarding area, The Lounge São Paulo and Advantage VIP, all open overnight as well; for those paying out of pocket, Advantage VIP is the cheapest entry in the area for a stay of a few hours. The Plaza Premium Lounge, instead, works with DragonPass and with American Express cards issued abroad, and also sells a short stay that makes sense when the wait is brief.
The airline and bank lounges have narrower doors. The GOL Premium Lounge is for high-tier Smiles members and for those flying in premium cabin with a partner, the VIP Lounge Inter for customers of Inter bank. The Bradesco VIP Lounge is closed for renovation, with no reopening date announced.
If you arrive well ahead of time you can wait before security. In the Terminal 2 check-in area there are the Plaza Premium Lounge Landside and the Urban Cowork Airport Lounge; the latter, open all night and included in Priority Pass, comes from a coworking operator and is the best suited for working during a long wait.
On the international side of Terminal 2, after passport control, you find The Lounge SkyTeam: it is the alliance's lounge, but the operator also opens it to Priority Pass, LoungeKey and to those who pay. Next to it, the GOL Premium Lounge International is reserved for elite members and premium passengers.
Terminal 3, entirely international, is dominated by the lounges of banks and credit cards. For Priority Pass holders the reference is the W Premium Lounge, open without interruption. High-tier LATAM Pass members and DragonPass holders use the LATAM VIP Lounge, which stays open all night, while the American Airlines Admirals Club opens only in late morning and is useless for morning flights.
The Banco do Brasil's Casa BB also serves as a lounge for business passengers of several European and international airlines, including Air France, KLM, TAP, Lufthansa, ITA and Emirates: it is worth checking there before looking elsewhere. Among the Mastercard Black lounges, the Mastercard Black Lounge 3 is more generous with companions; the Visa Infinite Privilege Lounge requires a reservation. Without the right card two options remain: the Nubank Ultravioleta Lounge accepts paying guests and the Nomad Lounge has a freemium area open to non-members.
To sum up, at Guarulhos you choose in three steps: the terminal, then the domestic or international area, and finally the card in your pocket. With Priority Pass the answer is almost always an independent lounge open all night, from the W Lounge in Terminal 1 to the W Premium Lounge in Terminal 3. If you fly business with a European airline, look at Casa BB first; if you hold a high-end Brazilian bank card, look for your own bank's lounge; and if you have nothing, consider paying at the door.
