Santiago de Chile: the right lounge for your flight and card

The lounge offering at Santiago airport is compact, and precisely for that reason a terminal mistake is costly. International Terminal 2 and domestic Terminal 1 are connected only before security: once through, you stay in your own area. The short answer is that Pacific Club covers both terminals for those with a card, while LATAM and SkyTeam serve those flying premium.
Terminal 2, the one for international departures, hosts the most important lounges. Those flying LATAM or another oneworld airline in business, or with Sapphire or Emerald status, go to the LATAM VIP Lounge, on the fourth level: it stays open all night and has showers, a bar and a children's area. It does not sell entry, however: without the right ticket or status you do not get in.

Those with a Priority Pass, a LoungeKey or a DragonPass, or willing to pay, find in the same terminal the Salones VIP Pacific Club, an independent lounge after security, near pier C. It is the simplest option for those with no tie to an airline: you get in with the card or by paying, whatever the flight. The other possibility in Terminal 2 is the SkyTeam Lounge, at pier E: you take the lift up to level 3. It welcomes SkyTeam passengers in first and business and Elite Plus members, and has showers and a bar. It also accepts Priority Pass and LoungeKey, but with a precise condition: you must depart on a SkyTeam flight or a codeshare. Those flying other airlines are not admitted with the card alone, so it is worth checking your flight before taking the lift. The stay too has a limit of a few hours. On the front of domestic flights, at Terminal 1, those departing find the other Salones VIP Pacific Club, between gates A08 and A17, open to the same cards and for a fee, with a maximum stay of a few hours. Precisely because the two terminals communicate only before security, this lounge serves only those departing on a domestic flight: those with an international connection cannot use it after clearing security at Terminal 2. In essence, the map of Santiago's lounges can be read quickly: the Pacific Club brand for those with a card or willing to pay, the LATAM lounge for premium oneworld customers, the SkyTeam one for those flying with the alliance.
The choice, in Santiago, follows the terminal and then the ticket. On international flights with LATAM or oneworld in business, or with a high status, the LATAM VIP Lounge is the natural destination and stays open at night too. With Priority Pass or by paying, the Pacific Club at Terminal 2 welcomes anyone, while the SkyTeam Lounge is only worth it if you fly with the alliance. On domestic flights there is the Pacific Club at Terminal 1.
