Hotels near Jorge Chávez International Airport

The new Jorge Chávez terminal, opened in mid-2025, brought the first hotel linked by a direct walkway, but Lima remains a city where traffic rules: Miraflores and San Isidro are 17-18 km away and anywhere from 40 minutes to over an hour and a half by car depending on the time. Those with only a layover or a dawn flight do well to stay close to Callao; those with days for the city gain a lot by moving toward the Miraflores waterfront, where you can walk in the evening without worrying about the trip back to the airport.
At the airport

At the airport and in Callao

The new Wyndham Costa del Sol Lima Airport is linked to the terminal by a covered pedestrian walkway of a few minutes; the Wyndham Grand and Sleepover (sleep pods in the transit area) are inside the terminal itself. The Holiday Inn Lima Airport is about 1.6 km away, with a free shuttle running around the clock on request.

Best for: Layovers of a few hours and departures before dawn, when it pays to stay a step from check-in instead of facing the traffic toward Miraflores.

Pros
  • No risk from Lima's traffic, which can triple travel times during rush hour
  • Sleepover lets you rent a pod for a few hours, useful between two flights without leaving the security area
Cons
  • Around it only the terminal and Callao's warehouses: there's nothing to do on foot in the evening
  • For downtown or Miraflores you still need 40-90 minutes by taxi depending on the time

Best for: Those with at least one free night who want the waterfront, Larcomar and Miraflores' restaurants within walking distance.

Pros
  • Malecón, seafront parks and the Larcomar shopping centre within walking distance of the waterfront hotels
  • The liveliest area in the evening, with restaurants and nightlife concentrated around the Óvalo and Larcomar
Cons
  • The transfer from the airport is Lima's longest and most variable, so flights need extra margin
  • Room rates higher than in Callao or San Isidro
