Lima lounges: the guide to choosing the right one

Lima's Jorge Chávez airport offers different lounges between the domestic and international sectors, from the historic lounges of the Fisa group to the more recent ones of the The Club family. The choice depends on the route, the card or status you hold, and how much time you want to spend before boarding.
Anyone flying an international route has the widest choice. The Club LIM, on the fourth level near gates B and C, is the largest location of the The Club brand in the world, with a gallery featuring works by seven Peruvian artists and a dish signed by chef Ignacio Barrios Jacobs. Not far away are also the Hanaq VIP Lounge and the Sumaq VIP Lounge, both recently expanded by the Inversiones Fisa group, with more space and more seats than before the renovation.

Entry rules differ from lounge to lounge. At The Club LIM and at Hanaq, Priority Pass or payment at the door is enough; at Sumaq, instead, entry is mostly by airline invitation for premium passengers, with DragonPass or Plaza Premium group cards as alternatives. Anyone flying with LATAM in Business, or holding elevated status in the LATAM Pass programme, finds their own dedicated lounge, split into the Signature and Premium environments: in its first year of operation it welcomed enough passengers to earn the title of best lounge in South America. Anyone departing instead on a domestic route has two options in the same area: the new The Club Domestic Lounge, inspired by the colours and textures of the Peruvian Amazon and signed by the same chef as the international lounge, and the El Salón by Newrest, with dishes ranging from ceviche to more substantial meals and membership in the LifeMiles mileage programme. It's not clear whether the two lounges will keep coexisting stably, so it's worth checking which one is actually open at the time of departure. For anyone who just needs to rest, landside, even before security control, there's the Sleepover: it's not a lounge in the classic sense, but an actual space with capsule-hotel-style pods and private and family cabins with showers, designed for those with a long layover or a flight in the middle of the night.
The simplest choice still comes down to the type of flight: those departing abroad have more options very different from each other, from the large The Club LIM to the two smaller Fisa lounges; those flying on a domestic route split between the new The Club group lounge and the historic Newrest one. Those flying Business with LATAM instead find a separate treatment, designed specifically for their airline. For those just looking for a place to really sleep, the Sleepover remains the most suitable solution in the whole of Lima airport.
