Hotels near Nadi International Airport

Nadi airport is Fiji's main international gateway and the most common starting point for holidays on the west coast: a small strip of hotels has grown up around the terminal, just minutes away by car, useful for short stopovers or dawn flights. The bulk of the tourist offer, however, is further away: at Wailoaloa Beach and Nadi Bay, about 10 minutes from the airport, and above all at Denarau Island, the artificial peninsula 25-30 minutes further south where the large beach resorts with golf courses are found. Nadi town itself is little more than a crossroads of shops and Indian-Fijian restaurants, useful for a meal but rarely a destination to spend the night.

Airport and Queens Road

3-7 minutes by car from the terminal for the hotels on Queens Road; the Nadi Airport Transit Hotel can be reached in about 2 minutes by taxi.

Best for: One-night stopovers and dawn departures, when a few minutes' transfer matters more than the beach.

Pros
  • A few minutes from the terminals, useful for the most common international flights at dawn
  • Tropical gardens and a pool as the only evening diversion, convenient for those who just want to rest
Cons
  • No beach within walking distance: reaching the sea still takes 10-30 minutes by car
  • A transit area along Queens Road, with little to do on foot in the evening
