Dabolim Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Dabolim and Verna
Airport area · The Super Hotel O is in Holy Cross Colony, a few minutes from the terminals; the Kesarval The Fern, in Verna, is 11-12 km further north-east (20-25 minutes by car), with an airport shuttle on request.
Best for: Short layovers or dawn and late-night flights, when every extra kilometre towards the beaches eats into your sleep.
- Zero risk of missing your flight, useful even just for a shower between two flights
- The Kesarval has a real pool and spa, not just a bed to sleep in
- Military and industrial area all around, no evening life on foot
- To see a beach you still need to travel at least 15-20 km

Best for: Anyone who wants Goa's capital, the Mandovi riverfront and a city beach without having to choose between north and south.
- Miramar Beach and the Mandovi river just steps from the upscale hotels
- Panaji remains more walkable than the touristy coast up north
- 30 km still means a good 40 minutes from the airport
- The most famous beaches, both north and south, require a further drive

- Beaches, beach shacks and evening markets (like the Saturday Night Market in Arpora) reachable on foot or in a few minutes
- Hotel offer ranging from Hilton's new economy brand to design resorts
- The transfer from the airport is the longest among all of Goa's zones, over an hour under normal conditions

Best for: Anyone who wants the wider, quieter beaches of the south, while staying relatively close to the airport.
- The transfer from the airport is the shortest among Goa's beach zones
- The beaches of Colva, Benaulim and Sernabatim are wider and less crowded than those in the north
- Nightlife much more limited than in Calangute or Baga
- Less choice of international hotels compared to the north or Panaji
