Eppley Airfield: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

Eppley Airfield is very close to Omaha, with no trains or trams to downtown: by taxi or rideshare you reach the Old Market neighborhood in under 10 minutes, a little more for the rest of downtown. There are no hotels right by the terminal with solid reviews, so it's better to head straight for the city: Old Market, with its cobblestone streets, restaurants and galleries, is the most convenient choice for those arriving without a car; the Capitol District, a few blocks further north, offers newer hotels near the plaza with its giant screen and bars; Aksarben Village, about 20 minutes away, is a modern residential neighborhood near the universities.
