Sandefjord Airport, Torp: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

Torp is a separate airport, about 110 km south of Oslo and used mainly by Ryanair and Wizz Air: it should not be confused with Gardermoen, with which it shares only the word 'Oslo' on airline websites. The Torp Ekspressen links the terminal to central Oslo in about an hour and 35 minutes, with only a few departures a day, while Sandefjord, the nearest town, is just 5-10 minutes away by car. For an early-morning flight or a short layover it's worth staying close to the terminal; with a few extra hours, Sandefjord offers a seafront and historic centre just minutes away.

More restaurants and supermarkets than in the airport area, handy for those arriving late at night

Cons

You still need a car or taxi for the terminal: there is no direct train from the town centre
