Sangster International Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Sangster International Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Sangster International sits right on the coast of Montego Bay and has no rail link or regular public bus: almost every transfer runs on official JUTA taxis or on the private shuttle already included by many all-inclusive resorts. Just east of the terminal, Ironshore has grown into a grid of gated residential communities that today holds many of the handiest rentals for late arrivals or early departures. Anyone after the award-winning beach and the big all-inclusive resorts heads instead for Rose Hall, another 10 minutes further along the coast.

- The neighbourhood closest to the terminal among all of Montego Bay's residential areas
- Gated communities with private security, convenient for families with heavy luggage
Cons
- A residential area with no sidewalks or venues: dinner requires a car or a taxi
