Skopje Alexander the Great Airport: where to stay, areas and…

Alexander the Great airport is about 20 km south of Skopje: a taxi reaches downtown in 20 minutes, a bus in about 30. Around the terminal there is no settlement with hotels, so downtown is the practical choice for almost everyone, even for one-night layovers. Watch out for the name 'Aerodrom', a Skopje district on the Vardar River 10 minutes from downtown: it has nothing to do with the airport, which is much further away.
