Tiree Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Tiree Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Tiree is one of the smallest and most remote islands of the Inner Hebrides, with a single airport connecting it to the mainland and very few places to stay across its whole surface. There's no point here talking about different areas: the only verifiable property with consistently good reviews is Kirkapol House, a former church manse from the 1860s on Gott Bay beach, about twenty minutes by car from the terminal. Local taxis need to be booked a day in advance and there are no regular buses waiting for flights: it's best to arrange the rest of your travel around the island too, right from the start, with a rental car or a bike.
