Changi lounges: which one to choose in each terminal

A layover at Changi is rarely short, and the useful question is not whether there is a lounge, but which one you can reach from your own terminal. In short: with Priority Pass or by paying at the door you will find independent lounges in every transit area, many of them open at night too, while Singapore Airlines passengers have their own in Terminals 2 and 3.
The first choice is made by your departure terminal. Almost all the lounges are in the transit area, after security, and many stay open day and night. The exception is the Changi Lounge at Jewel, in the public area: it is meant for those who arrive very early and want to sit down before check-in, not for those already in transit.

Cathay Pacific Lounge

Level 2M, transit area

Cathay Pacific lounge, open only during the hours of the airline's flights.

Hours
From 3 hours before the first Cathay Pacific flight to the last departure
If you fly with Singapore Airlines, look to Terminal 3, where the SilverKris Lounge welcomes First, Business and status members and includes a restaurant and, inside it, The Private Room. In the same terminal, near central immigration, the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge is reserved for status holders. In Terminal 2 the airline has launched a renovation plan: the new SilverKris First Class Lounge is the first piece, while works also affect the SilverKris and the KrisFlyer Gold, so it is best to check the listing before counting on them. The lounges of the other airlines follow the flight schedule. In Terminal 1 the Qantas First Lounge opens only in the afternoon and evening, the Qantas Business Lounge changes its hours from one day to the next, the Emirates Lounge works in time bands and the Qatar Airways Premium Lounge closes between late morning and late afternoon. In Terminal 4 the Cathay Pacific Lounge only opens around the airline's departures. Anyone connecting outside those windows risks finding the door closed. Without a premium ticket, the contest is played among the independent lounges. In Terminal 1 the Plaza Premium Lounge, above gate C1, has showers and a rest area and accepts paid entry; the Marhaba Lounge accepts Priority Pass. In Terminal 2 the Ambassador Transit Lounge adds a gym, rest suites and workstations with a printer to its showers, and there is also a SATS Premier Lounge. In Terminal 3 you find Ambassador Transit, near the cinema, SATS Premier and a second Marhaba. Terminal 4 has Blossom, run jointly by SATS and Plaza Premium, with showers, a rest area and a corner for massages and manicures. For an overnight layover the most complete bases are the Plaza Premium in Terminal 1, the Ambassador Transit in Terminal 2 with its suites, and Blossom in Terminal 4. Those who prefer to eat local dishes outside the lounge choose the Marhaba in Terminal 3, which has the Singapore Food Street right opposite. Finally, the DBS Private Access Lounge in Terminal 2 is a bank lounge for DBS Treasures Private Client customers and does not open at night: for everyone else it is not an option.
At Changi you almost always choose the lounge by staying in your own terminal. With a Singapore Airlines ticket the reference is Terminal 3, keeping an eye on the works in Terminal 2. With another premium airline you need to check that the lounge is open at your flight time, because many follow precise time bands. With Priority Pass or by paying, on the other hand, every transit area offers an independent lounge: to sleep or take a shower you head for Plaza Premium, Ambassador Transit or Blossom, and to work for the Ambassador workstations.
