Atlanta: which lounge to choose beyond the Delta Sky Clubs

The name you meet in every concourse at Atlanta is Delta Sky Club, but it is not the only option. If you fly with other airlines, have an American Express card or a Priority Pass, or just want a bed for a few hours, there are lounges designed for you. What decides it is the concourse you leave from and the access credential you have in your pocket.
The Delta Sky Clubs cover every concourse, from T to F, and in A there is one near gate A17 and one in the centre, above the P.F. Chang's restaurant. For those flying Delta in a premium cabin or with the right status the practical rule is simple: you use the club in your own concourse, without crossing the airport. If you leave at dawn, know that the clubs at gate A17 and gate T6 are the first to open, while the one in concourse E closes earlier than the others. Not all the clubs are equal, though. The one in concourse D, opened in 2025, has soundproof phone booths and a menu inspired by Southern cooking; the one in concourse F, the international concourse, has an open-air terrace, the Sky Deck, and showers. The clubs at gate A17, at A Centerpoint and at gate C37 were recently renovated, while the one in concourse B is presented by Delta as one of the best airport lounges in the United States.

In concourse T, near gate T11, there are also the American Airlines Admirals Club, just after security, and the United Club. Both sell the day pass, and the Admirals Club one can also be bought with AAdvantage miles. They open very early but close in the early evening; the United lounge offers breakfast in the morning and snacks in the afternoon. With an American Express Platinum, Business Platinum or Centurion card you enter the Centurion Lounge in concourse E, opened in 2024, with showers, a bar, hot food and an open-air terrace; you need the boarding pass for a flight the same day. Priority Pass instead opens The Club ATL, on the mezzanine of concourse F after passport control, with alcohol included and two-storey windows overlooking downtown Atlanta. Here the rules matter: with the card you cannot enter too far ahead of departure, the stay is limited and in the afternoon and evening access may be suspended for lack of seats. If you do not have the card you can pay for entry. For a long layover the most suitable solution is often a private Minute Suites suite, bookable by the hour, with a daybed, TV and desk: the locations are in concourses B, E and F, and only the one in E includes private showers in the booking. Finally, active-duty military personnel and their families have the USO Lounge, in the atrium between the north and south domestic terminals, before security.
The criterion, in the end, is twofold: concourse and access credential. If you fly Delta in premium or with status you stay in the Sky Club closest to your gate, preferring the one in D or F if you have time to enjoy something extra. If you fly American or United you use the clubs in concourse T, if you have an Amex Platinum you head for the Centurion Lounge in E, and if you have Priority Pass and are on an international flight you go to The Club ATL, allowing for the limits at peak hours. And if the goal is to sleep, a Minute Suites suite is worth more than any lounge.
