Palma de Mallorca airport lounges: choosing between the modules
In Palma de Mallorca, the right lounge depends on the module you're departing from: non-Schengen in Module C and Module A, Schengen in zone B. All of them are run by Aena, so what really changes is the services, the access, and, in one case, seasonal availability.
In Module C, on the non-Schengen side, the Sala VIP Mediterráneo has recently been refurbished and stands out for a children's play area completely separated from the rest of the space, designed for families. Entry is possible with Priority Pass, LoungeKey or DragonPass, with a Business ticket on a partner airline, or on payment. It is one of the best lounges for those arriving early with young children who want a corner separate from the rest of the lounge's traffic.
Among Palma's lounges it is the only one in boarding zone B, dedicated to Schengen flights, and it shares the hot buffet and the play area for little ones with the Llevant lounge in Module A.
Entry with Priority Pass and for Lufthansa Senator, Gold and Business customers; direct booking with Aena is also possible. Maximum stay of 4 hours before departure.

Still on the non-Schengen side, but in Module A, the Sala VIP Llevant is the only lounge in this part of Palma to have a shower, as well as a buffet with hot and cold dishes and its own play area for little ones: a useful combination for those arriving from a long flight or needing to catch a connection right away. Here too access is through Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass, besides direct payment. Between Palma's two non-Schengen lounges, it is therefore the one to prefer if the shower matters more than newer furnishings.
Those departing instead for a Schengen destination will find the Sala VIP Valldemossa in boarding zone B, the only lounge on this side with both a hot buffet and a children's play area, as well as being the venue intended for Lufthansa's premium customers, who can enter here with their status or travel class rather than a lounge card. It still remains open to those arriving with Priority Pass, which makes it the simplest option for anyone not flying Lufthansa but still departing from a Schengen gate in zone B.
Finally, there is the Sala VIP Formentor, in Module D: at the moment it is temporarily closed for refurbishment, so anyone who still finds it listed in lounge-card apps or on airline websites should check whether it has reopened before counting on it as a stopover option in Palma. Until it reopens, anyone departing from Module D looking for a lounge needs to look elsewhere, bearing in mind that the airport's other three lounges are in different modules and are not reachable in just a few steps.
The choice in Palma de Mallorca starts with your flight: non-Schengen means Module C or Module A, Schengen means zone B. Those travelling with children have the separate play area at the Sala VIP Mediterráneo or the ones at Llevant and Valldemossa; those who also want a shower after a long flight will find this combination only at Llevant among the non-Schengen lounges. Keep in mind that the Sala VIP Formentor remains closed for refurbishment, so it's best not to count it among the options available for now.
