The Orange Line reaches the West End, the historic center area with its red-brick warehouses converted into shops and restaurants, in about 50 minutes from Terminal A.

DFW → Fort Worth

Be careful not to confuse the two cities: for downtown Fort Worth, with Sundance Square and the historic stockyards, you need TEXRail, a line separate from DART that departs from Terminal B and arrives at T&P Station in about 50 minutes.

If you're attending a game or concert, get off directly at Victory Station, just steps from the Mavericks and Stars arena.

For the neighborhood of live music venues and murals, it's best to transfer downtown at Akard or St. Paul, then continue east on the Green Line.

Hotels near Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

DFW lies halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth, about thirty kilometres from each, and the airport is so vast that even "nearby" hotels can require a shuttle ride. Anyone leaving early or with just one night between connections does well to stay inside the airport perimeter: traffic on the Metroplex freeways makes driving times unpredictable. For an evening out without going too far there is Grapevine, a historic town ten minutes away by train; Dallas is worth the trip only if you will stay at least one full day.
