Hotels near Taipei Songshan Airport

Songshan is Taipei's domestic airport, inside the city limits: the Songshan Airport stop on the brown line (Wenhu) is right under the terminal and reaches the centre in a few minutes, so for almost all stays it's best to choose the hotel based on the neighbourhood, not the distance from the airport. The calculation only changes with layovers of a few hours or very early departures, when it makes sense to stay within a short taxi ride, around Songshan and Nanjing East Road. Be careful not to confuse this airport with the international airport of Taoyuan (TPE), which is on a completely different scale outside the city: the areas in this guide are designed for those flying via Songshan, not for those arriving on an intercontinental flight to Taoyuan.
