A Coruña Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

Alvedro airport is less than nine kilometres from the centre of A Coruña, a 15-20 minute taxi ride or the 4051/A4 bus, which runs every half hour on weekdays and takes 25-30 minutes: a distance short enough to make staying in the city sensible even with a dawn flight. With no hotels on site and few night flights, the choice is between the historic seafront, overlooking Riazor beach and Orzán bay, and two more practical areas for those travelling by car or getting off the airport bus: Matogrande and the A Grela district, next to the Marineda City shopping centre.
