Båtsfjord Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels
Båtsfjord is one of the busiest fishing ports in arctic Norway, with the airport about 7 km from the centre and no bus dedicated to Widerøe flights. Here too the choice is unique: a resort on the harbour that is both the hotel and almost the only evening dining spot in town.
Central Båtsfjord
City centre · About 7 km from the airport, 10 minutes by taxi; there is no bus for Widerøe flights, only taxi and car rental.
Best for: The town's only base, convenient for those visiting the fishing port or passing through on the Hurtigruten route.
Pros
- Views over the harbour and the fjord praised in reviews, with a spa and two in-house restaurants
- Breakfast and staff noted among the strong points by several guests
Cons
- No bus to the airport: the taxi needs to be arranged in advance
- Very few dinner alternatives outside the resort in low season
Recommended hotels in this area
- Båtsfjord Brygge - Arctic Resort: A resort on the fishing harbour, with a spa, two restaurants and rooms with fjord views; the town's only property of note.
