Szczecin-Goleniów "Solidarność" Airport: where to stay, areas and…

The name is misleading: the airport is not in Szczecin but in Goleniów, about 45 km north-east of the city, and in Goleniów itself there is no hotel of a standard useful to those arriving by plane. The only realistic option remains Szczecin, linked by a direct Szczecin Główny-airport train in about 40 minutes, by bus (lines 107 and 124 or coaches like Flixbus) in around 40-50 minutes, or by a taxi that costs like a longer-than-expected ride. Those with a dawn flight or a short layover therefore have to reckon with almost an hour of transfer in any case: there's no way to shorten it by staying closer to the terminal.
