Haneda lounges for domestic and international flights

At Haneda the lounges almost all split between two worlds: the lounges of the Japanese airlines, generous but reserved for those with the right ticket or status, and the network of Power Lounges, open with Priority Pass, with gold-tier credit cards or by paying. First of all, though, the terminal matters.
Terminal 3 is the international one and also the richest in choice. The airlines take the lion's share: JAL has here the JAL First Class Lounge, with the sushi counter and the beef curry, and the JAL Sakura Lounge, which the airline describes as one of the largest airline lounges in Japan and which has a children's play area. ANA answers with the ANA Suite Lounge for first class and the ANA Lounge, both for those flying with ANA or Star Alliance.

Two foreign airlines have their own lounges on the upper floors: the Cathay Pacific Lounge, with the noodle bar prepared to order and the Japanese breakfast, opens only in the daytime, while the Delta Sky Club is reserved for those departing with Delta on international flights. Without a premium ticket, at Terminal 3 the card that counts is Priority Pass. The Sky Lounge South accepts it at any hour and has showers, but at a charge; the TIAT Lounge, in the middle of the boarding area, accepts it only in the small hours of the night, while by day it works with American Express Platinum and with paid entry. In both the stay is limited to a few hours. They are also the two lounges that stay open all night, useful for those departing in the small hours. Holders of American Express Platinum and Centurion also have The Centurion Lounge, on the fourth floor, with an open kitchen and a Japanese and Western buffet; minors enter only accompanied by an adult, and the lounge does not open at dawn. Terminal 2 is mostly domestic, but it also has an international part: there, according to Priority Pass, the only partner lounge is the POWER LOUNGE PREMIUM, also accessible with DragonPass and Amex Platinum. On the domestic side there are the POWER LOUNGE NORTH, which closes later than its namesake in Terminal 1, the POWER LOUNGE CENTRAL, the first to close in the evening, and the Airport Lounge (South). At Terminal 1, the one for JAL domestic flights, the airline's lounges are under phased renovation: the JAL Diamond Premier Lounge and the JAL Sakura Lounge work one wing at a time, so one part is always closed. The alternatives are the POWER LOUNGE NORTH, the largest of the three in the terminal, and the POWER LOUNGE SOUTH; the POWER LOUNGE CENTRAL, small, is instead on the arrivals floor before security. A special case is the ANA Arrival Lounge in Terminal 3, designed for those arriving in first class: it offers showers, luggage lockers and a nursing room, but it is no use to those departing.
To choose at Haneda it is enough to cross three questions. Are you departing from Terminal 3? With a premium ticket your own airline's lounge beats any alternative, with Priority Pass the Sky Lounge South is the most flexible choice, with Amex Platinum there is the Centurion. Are you flying domestic from Terminal 1 or 2? The Power Lounges cover those with Priority Pass, a gold card or who want to pay, remembering that they close in the evening. Are you departing at night? The Sky Lounge South and the TIAT Lounge remain.
