Ibn Batouta Airport: where to stay, areas and recommended hotels

Ibn Battuta airport is about 11 km from central Tangier, 10-15 minutes by taxi under normal traffic conditions: a distance that makes the centre almost always the most convenient choice, unless you're looking for a beach resort outside the city. The real choice is between the Kasbah on the hill above the medina, the modern centre near the TGV station, and, for those who want the sea without the city, the coast of Al Houara towards Asilah, about 22 km further south.
